Gate Expands Beyond Digital Assets with 10,000+ US Stocks and ETFs

Gate has followed Binance into US equities by launching Gate Stocks, offering access to over 10,000 US-listed stocks and ETFs through a partnership with Alpaca. This move marks a broader trend of cryptocurrency exchanges expanding into traditional financial markets. In June, Binance added 7,000 US stocks to its platform, also partnering with Alpaca for custody, dividend processing, and corporate-action support.

Alpaca's infrastructure provides the brokerage functions needed for trading in the underlying securities, handling custody and settlement of the shares. The partnership supports Gate's launch of gStocks, a tokenized US stock offering, which brings multiple asset classes together within the Gate ecosystem.

The trend is giving retail investors and traders on crypto platforms access to a wider range of traditional market products. Gate's move into traditional financial markets also includes developing AI tools for traders and users to analyze markets and manage assets.
