Gates Doubts Crypto's Value Amid Growing Adoption
Bill Gates has once again expressed his skepticism towards cryptocurrency, stating that he would not turn to digital assets if he needed to move his U.S. dollar holdings into another form of investment.
Speaking at an ‘EXPRESS ADDA’ event on August 28, Gates described cryptocurrency as an asset driven purely by mania, reinforcing his long-held position as one of the tech industry’s most prominent crypto critics.
Gates has previously called cryptocurrency ‘completely useless’ and compared investing in it to the ‘greater fool theory,’ where profits depend on finding someone else to buy at a higher price.
