Gemini, Apex Team Up on Regulated Crypto Prediction Markets
Gemini and Apex Fintech Solutions have signed a non-binding letter of intent to bring Gemini's regulated event contracts to brokerage customers connected to Apex.
The proposed arrangement would allow brokerages using Apex's Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) to route crypto event contracts to Gemini Titan for execution and clearing, making it easier for Gemini to distribute these products without duplicating brokers' infrastructure.
This deal is part of Gemini's expansion into crypto prediction markets, which has gained momentum with the company receiving key regulatory milestones in recent years. In December 2025, Gemini Titan received a Designated Contract Market (DCM) license from the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, and just months ago, Gemini obtained permission for its subsidiary, Gemini Olympus, to function as a Derivatives Clearing Organization (DCO).
The combination of these licenses enables Gemini to operate both trading and clearing in regulated derivatives, which is a key feature of the proposed Apex partnership. This strategic partnership also involves the possibility of working on other categories of events like sports, economic data, and financial markets, although those areas would not be exclusive to Gemini.
