Gemini Bolsters Prediction Markets with Sports Taxonomy and Transparency Features

Gemini Exchange made several updates to its platform, including the introduction of a standardized sports market object and a public endpoint for prediction market volume data.

The sports market object provides structured metadata across more than 10 sports, breaking each market down into five fields: sport, type, subject, scope, and metric. This allows traders and developers to query events directly through the API, rather than guessing from a title.

Gemini also made a public endpoint for prediction market volume data available, allowing anyone to check trade volume for a completed UTC day or hour without needing a login or API key.

In addition, Gemini now supports shielded transactions to a new Zcash pool called Ironwood, allowing users to send ZEC directly from their account to an Ironwood deposit address.
