Gemini Boosts XRP Transfers in Singapore with XRPL Integration
Crypto exchange Gemini has made XRP transfers in Singapore more efficient and cost-effective. Starting August 25, eligible users can move XRP directly between their Gemini accounts and external XRP Ledger (XRPL) addresses.
This update eliminates the need for intermediary steps and enables faster, cheaper transactions. According to Tyler Winklevoss, Gemini co-founder, this is 'big news for the Ripple Army in Asia.'
The new XRPL support offers several benefits, including lower fees, faster transfer times of around 3-5 seconds, and direct access to XRP wallets and DeFi services.
XRP's price has surged by over 50% in the past week, rising from $1 to $1.55. The move comes as U.S. spot XRP ETFs record $1.55 billion in inflows and active addresses on the network jump 654.71%, from 47,180 to 356,070.
