Gemini Secures MPI License in Singapore for Crypto Operations

Share

Gemini, a leading crypto exchange, has secured a Major Payment Institution (MPI) license from Singapore's Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).

The license allows Gemini to offer digital payment token services and cross-border money transfers in the country.

This marks a significant milestone for Gemini, which has been operating in Singapore since 2020, as stated by President and co-founder Cameron Winklevoss.

The exchange had initially received an in-principle permission from MAS in October 2024 and has now completed its regulatory journey with the full licensing.
