Gemini Sends $10M in Bitcoin to Trump PAC Amid Ongoing CFTC Settlement Dispute
The Gemini Trust Company, run by co-founders Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, has sent $10 million in Bitcoin to the MAGA Inc. Super PAC supporting President Donald Trump.
The donation was made on June 19, just three weeks after the CFTC filed a joint motion with Gemini in federal court to reverse a January 2025 settlement over allegedly false or misleading statements.
CFTC Chair Michael Selig claimed at the time that the agency under former US President Joe Biden 'politically targeted' the Winklevosses through enforcement actions.
The Winklevoss brothers have been long-time supporters of Trump, each donating $1 million to his 2024 election campaign and contributing $21 million in Bitcoin to the Digital Freedom Fund PAC in an effort to support President Trump's administration efforts related to crypto policy.
