Gen Z Floods Binance's TradFi Platform with $80 Billion in Trading Volume
Gen Z investors are increasingly turning to Binance's traditional finance (TradFi) platform, with nearly half of new users under 30. According to internal data from Binance Research, this demographic has collectively executed approximately $80 billion in trading volume since January 2025.
The trend suggests a shift away from decentralized finance (DeFi) and towards regulated on-ramps, including spot trading, staking, and access to traditional financial instruments. Younger users are opting for the security and regulatory oversight offered by centralized platforms.
Industry analysts note that this influx of young users could pressure exchanges to enhance educational resources and consumer protections. Regulators are also closely watching how these demographics interact with crypto services, particularly regarding risk disclosure and suitability.
