Gen Z Investors Flock to Binance ETFs and Hold Stocks for Longer
Gen Z investors are increasingly turning to exchange-traded funds (ETFs) on Binance, with ETFs making up 25% of their equity volume in early August. This shift is evident in net capital flows as well, where unleveraged ETFs captured 21.9% of Gen Z's net equity inflows in July compared to 18.5% in June.
According to Binance Research, the number of Gen Z investors holding ETFs actually increased by 2.9% in July, a stark contrast to Millennials and Gen X whose holder counts declined by 4.5% and 5.9%, respectively.
The same report found that trading frequency separates younger users from older groups, with Gen Z investors averaging only 13 monthly TradFi perpetual trades compared to 17 for Millennials and 16.5 for Gen X.
