Gen Z Investors Prove to Be Net Accumulators in TradFi
Binance Research has published a new report titled 'Gen Z Perspective Rewrite', which examines how Generation Z users behave across three Traditional Finance (TradFi) products.
The report finds that Gen Z users are more disciplined and allocation-oriented than common assumptions suggest. In direct equities, 77% of Gen Z accounts accumulated assets, the highest share of any generation. This number is even higher in bStocks, where 76% of Gen Z accounts were net accumulators.
Interestingly, Gen Z users tend to avoid leveraged and inverse ETFs more than any other working-age cohort. In TradFi-Perps, for example, 88.2% of Gen Z accounts recorded no such activity.
The report also highlights that Gen Z users are rotating into unleveraged ETFs. The share of equity volume held by ETFs rose from 14.6% in June to 25.0% in early August, compared with 9.5% for Millennials.
