Genius Group Aims for $827M Bitcoin Treasury by 2031
Genius Group has announced plans to rebuild its bitcoin and AI treasuries to $827 million and $800 million, respectively, by fiscal year 2031. This move follows a significant sell-off of its bitcoin treasury five months ago to clear $8.5 million in debt.
The company will fund this rebuilding through a five-year capital plan using a $1.2 billion shelf registration approved by the SEC, which involves issuing Perpetual Preferred Securities.
Genius Group CEO Roger James Hamilton sees this as a strategic move to capitalize on the next growth cycles of bitcoin and AI, especially with recent surges in bitcoin prices above $80,000 and renewed investor interest.
