Genius Group Seeks $12.5 Million to Restart Bitcoin Treasury
Genius Group, an AI-powered education company, has proposed a $12.5 million perpetual preferred offering to restart its Bitcoin treasury. The company plans to allocate some of these funds towards purchasing Bitcoin and building up its treasury, which it aims to reach $827 million by fiscal 2031.
The current raise covers just 1.51% of the target amount, leaving a significant funding gap that will require repeated preferred sales or other financing beyond the initial offering.
In April, Genius Group sold its remaining Bitcoin and repaid $8.5 million of debt, resulting in a reported cash balance of $2.42 million as of year-end. The company's latest audited filing showed $106.6 million in unaudited June net assets with no third-party debt.
