Genius Group Targets Massive Crypto Treasury Rebuild
Genius Group is looking to rebuild its Bitcoin treasury after selling off part of it earlier this year. The company, which operates a dual strategy of Bitcoin and Artificial Intelligence (AI) treasuries alongside its core education business, aims to acquire $827 million in Bitcoin treasury and $800 million in AI treasury by fiscal year 2031.
The plan involves leveraging the company's $1.2 billion shelf registration, declared effective by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on July 18, 2025. Genius Group will issue a publicly registered Perpetual Preferred Security (PPS) to fund its dual treasury, with the final details and timing of the offering subject to confirmation pending discussions with investment banks.
The company's CEO, Roger James Hamilton, believes that the conditions are ideal for deploying permanent capital at scale due to 'a generational cycle' in both AI and Bitcoin. This announcement comes five months after Genius Group sold the remainder of its Bitcoin treasury to repay debt, stating it would rebuild when market conditions were more favorable.
