Germany Pushes EU Total to 331 MiCA-Licensed Firms

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has updated its MiCA registry, adding six new firms from Germany to the list of licensed crypto-asset service providers in the European Union.

This brings the total number of approved entities to 331, with Germany leading the EU in MiCA licenses at 79. The update also highlights the continued growth of regulatory approvals under the bloc's comprehensive crypto framework.

The addition of these six cooperative banks from Germany reflects a broader trend of traditional financial institutions seeking regulatory clarity in the digital asset space.
