Glamsterdam Upgrade Cycle Hits First Major Roadblock
Ethereum's faster upgrade cycle is facing its first major test with Glamsterdam. The project has encountered testing problems, which could impact the timeline for its next major network upgrade.
Developers are now focusing on another devnet before moving ahead with the Sepolia test. This new development means that the October 6 target for the Sepolia test remains uncertain, while a December mainnet launch is still possible.
Ethereum developers had planned to activate Glamsterdam on the Sepolia public testnet on October 6 at 13:53 UTC. However, they chose this date before the issues with Devnet-10 arose. Christine D. Kim, founder of Protocol Watch Research & Advisory, stated that concerns about the planned October 6 Sepolia testnet launch remain.
