Glamsterdam Warnings Put Ethereum Developers on High Alert as AlphaPepe Builds Its AI-Powered DEX
Ethereum developers are facing a new challenge as the Ethereum Foundation has warned that parts of the ecosystem could break under Glamsterdam's new gas model if wallets, indexers, and gas-estimation tools rely on outdated assumptions.
The warning comes as AlphaPepe is building its own AI-focused DEX ecosystem called AlphaSwap. The project has already raised $2.45 million and passed 11,000 holders, giving retail traders an alternative to waiting for mature crypto assets to deliver their next large move.
AlphaPepe's Stage 20 is live at $0.02761 after Stage 19 sold out quickly. The project plans to publish its full roadmap timeline covering the end of the presale and planned DEX and CEX launches on August 26, followed by a reveal of its fourth CEX on August 31.
The Ethereum Foundation is directing developers to test the upcoming changes on the Platåberget testnet before wider deployment. The Glamsterdam upgrade aims to improve scaling, block processing, and network sustainability, potentially strengthening the infrastructure supporting one of crypto's largest ecosystems.
