GMTrade Unlocks Round-the-Clock Trading for Commodities on Solana
GMTrade has removed the constraint of traditional commodity market hours by launching 24/7 perpetual futures trading for commodities, including gold (XUG), silver (XAG), and WTI crude oil. The platform uses Chainlink Data Streams for real-time pricing.
The launch marks a significant milestone for GMTrade, which started as a GMX DAO-authorized deployment on Solana in March 2025 and rebranded to GMTrade in November 2025. Since then, the platform has facilitated over $142B in total trading volume, with its peak in May 2026 reaching $51.73B in 30-day trading volume.
Chainlink Data Streams provide a pull-based oracle infrastructure that reduces the window for stale pricing and front-running, two problems that have historically plagued on-chain derivatives platforms. The platform operates without a dedicated governance or utility token, instead using a GT points system to reward active traders.
