Gold and Bitcoin Markets Show Signs of Rebound

The gold and Bitcoin markets are rebounding after experiencing bearish trends.

Gold, which had increased by over 156% from January to its all-time high earlier this year, lost more than 25% from that peak in mid-July. However, it has now recovered around 17% from that YTD low and is about 13% lower than its ATH.

The VanEck Gold Miners ETF (GDX), which tracks the MarketVector Global Gold Miners Index, has seen significant gains despite gold prices rising by just over 16%. The fund has a modest dividend yield of 0.6%, providing investors with an income component alongside their gold exposure.

Bitcoin's market cap shrank to around $1.59 trillion after hitting its ATH in October 2025, but it has since rallied more than 23% and is trading at its highest prices since mid-May. The iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) tracks the price movement of Bitcoin and has seen significant inflows over the past year.
