Gold Shines While Bitcoin Remains Flat
The Week in Review newsletter highlighted the disparity between traditional gold and digital assets. Gold saw its best week since January, with gold miners like GDX experiencing a 21.3% increase. The S&P 500 also broke an all-time high on a 3.6% weekly gain, its best since April.
However, Bitcoin traded flat for the week. Michael Kao argued that the chart showing central banks rotating out of Treasuries into gold is mostly just the gold price rising. Martin Armstrong claimed China's gold buying frenzy isn't a vote of no confidence in America, but rather a hedge against their own economic system.
Milton Berg remains convinced that gold is in a long-term bear market. Luke Gromen thinks Scott Bessent needs to let gold rise significantly or buy it himself to prevent bond yields from soaring. Senator Rand Paul confirmed that all approximately 147 million ounces of gold are indeed sitting in Fort Knox.
