Gold Trapped Between Bullish Target and Bearish Technical Projection

The price of gold is caught between two conflicting narratives: one bullish and the other bearish.

Deutsche Bank recently reaffirmed its year-end target of $4,600 for gold, with its fair-value model near $4,700. However, the daily chart suggests a different story.

The price is below a declining moving-average ribbon, RSI is flat at 46.5, and the $4,050 support level is weakening. This technical projection puts the price target for gold at around $3,800.

Despite this bearish structure, Deutsche Bank's model acknowledges that the lower bound of this scenario, $3,700, is a reasonable outcome within the same framework.
