Goldfeder's Arbitrum Network Sees Surge in Revenue
Steven Goldfeder, co-founder and CEO of Offchain Labs, has been making waves in the crypto space recently. On August 31st, he announced that Robinhood Chain's 24-hour transaction revenue had surpassed $2 million, a significant increase from the previous day's $1.22 million. This development is particularly notable given that ARB, the token associated with Arbitrum, closed the session at $0.1094 after experiencing a nearly 30% price movement.
Goldfeder's background in cryptography and cryptocurrency security is an important factor in understanding his current role in the industry. He co-authored 'Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency Technologies,' a textbook on Bitcoin that has had a significant impact on engineers working in the field. Additionally, he was a key contributor to the GG18 threshold ECDSA protocol, which is still widely used today.
Offchain Labs, the company founded by Goldfeder, acquired Prysmatic Labs in 2022, acquiring the team behind Prysm, the consensus client chosen by over 43% of Ethereum node runners. This move was seen as a strategic decision to take direct financial responsibility for a piece of Ethereum's core infrastructure.
