Goldman Sachs Acquires NEOS for $2.25 Billion Crypto Expansion
Goldman Sachs is set to acquire NEOS Investments in a deal worth up to $2.25 billion, marking a significant expansion of its cryptocurrency investment offerings.
The acquisition will bring Goldman's combined ETF holdings to approximately $130 billion, positioning the financial institution as the world's eighth-largest active ETF manager.
NEOS' primary Bitcoin High Income ETF debuted in October 2024 and has surpassed $1 billion in assets within two years, with an expense ratio of 0.99% aiming to deliver an annual yield approaching 27%.
The transaction is contingent upon regulatory clearance and is expected to finalize during Q1 2027, pending specific performance benchmarks being met.
