Goldman Sachs Buys NEOS Investments for $2.25B Crypto Income Boost
Goldman Sachs has agreed to buy NEOS Investments in a deal worth up to $2.25 billion, gaining a ready-made Bitcoin income ETF business.
The purchase adds around $30 billion in options-based income ETFs to Goldman's portfolio, including the market's largest Bitcoin covered-call fund.
NEOS's flagship product, BTCI, has amassed over $1 billion in assets since its launch and generates monthly income by selling options against Bitcoin exposure.
The deal hands Goldman Sachs a foothold in digital-asset ETFs it had been building toward on its own, with the acquisition expected to close in the first quarter of 2027 pending regulatory approval.
