Goldman Sachs CEO Solomon Owning 'Very Little' Bitcoin Amid Crypto Exposure
Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon has revealed that he personally owns a 'very little' amount of Bitcoin (BTC), stating that he is still trying to understand how the cryptocurrency behaves.
Solomon made the admission during his speech at the World Liberty Forum in Palm Beach, which came just days after the bank's Q4 2025 Form 13F filing revealed its indirect exposure to various cryptocurrencies. The filing showed that Goldman holds approximately $2.36 billion in crypto-linked ETFs, including positions in Ethereum (ETH), XRP (XRP), and Solana (SOL).
The bank's indirect exposure to BTC is valued at around $920 million after a nearly 50% decline since the close of the quarter.
Solomon emphasized that Goldman has not reduced its Bitcoin position, despite the decline representing an unrealized loss. He also highlighted the firm's focus on tokenization and stablecoins, with a large internal team working to understand where digital market infrastructure could expand existing businesses.
