Goldman Sachs Pumps Up Coinbase Target Amid Crypto Market Volatility
Goldman Sachs recently updated its cryptocurrency coverage, maintaining buy ratings on Coinbase Global and Robinhood Markets. Analyst James Yaro raised Coinbase's price target to $196 from $173, while setting a new target of $124 for Robinhood.
The move comes as Bitcoin experienced a significant surge, increasing by 26% in the past week and reaching an intraday high near $81,000 before pulling back. This price action has lifted Coinbase's shares by over 21%, with Robinhood gaining around 12%.
Goldman Sachs' optimism is not solely based on spot market performance, as both companies have expanded into prediction markets, tokenized stocks, and perpetual futures. These products can generate fees regardless of the level of trading activity in Bitcoin or Ethereum.
