Goldman Sachs Reclaims Lead in XRP ETF Holdings After Sudden Return
Goldman Sachs has re-established itself as the largest reported institutional holder of XRP ETF positions, according to its Q2 2026 13F filing. The bank disclosed $87.45 million in XRP ETF exposure, equal to about 84.05 million XRP.
This marks a significant return for Goldman Sachs after it exited XRP ETF holdings in Q1 2026. In contrast, Jane Street reported exposure equal to about 16 million XRP after increasing its position by roughly $13.57 million during the quarter.
The Bitwise XRP ETF leads the market with about $507.23 million in net assets and $603.56 million in cumulative flows. The U.S. spot XRP ETFs have attracted a total of $1.67 billion in cumulative inflows, with combined net assets near $1.45 billion.
Ripple also released 1 billion XRP from escrow on September 1 through three transactions. This release is part of Ripple's monthly escrow process, and about 31.28 billion XRP would remain in its existing escrow after the release.
