Goldman Sachs Sticks With Bitcoin Despite Massive Supply Overhang
Goldman Sachs has maintained its position in Bitcoin despite the current supply overhang. The bank held around $715 million in BTC exchange-traded funds through the first quarter of 2026, a reduction of about 10% from the previous quarter.
The firm boosted its Circle Internet Group stake by 24%, and increased its positions in Coinbase, PayPal, and crypto-linked equities like Galaxy Digital. Goldman Sachs also added to its position in Robinhood.
However, the bank trimmed stakes in Strategy, IREN Limited, Bit Digital, and Riot Platforms, while exiting XRP and Solana exchange-traded fund positions entirely.
