GoodDollar Suffers $100,000 Loss as Celo Bug Exposes Vulnerability
A decentralized universal basic income protocol called GoodDollar has suffered a security breach that allowed an attacker to drain more than $100,000 from its reserves on Celo.
The bug in Superfluid's deployment on Celo enabled the creation of excess G$ tokens, which were then exchanged for assets in GoodDollar's reserve and other liquidity pools.
GoodDollar said that 86,588 cUSD was exchanged out of its Celo reserve, while another $20,857 was taken from its XDC reserve. The project has paused reserve operations on both networks and suspended bridging until further notice.
