Gopax Taps New CEO to Address GoFi Repayment Crisis and Regulatory Hurdles
Gopax, a South Korean cryptocurrency exchange operated by Streami, has appointed Kim Na-young as its new chief executive officer. Kim previously worked at Amazon Web Services Korea, where she led financial business development.
The leadership change comes at a critical time for Gopax, which has been grappling with the fallout from GoFi, a yield-generating product that suspended withdrawals in late 2022 following the collapse of FTX.
GoFi was operated by Gopax's affiliate and its suspension left many users unable to access their funds. The issue has drawn scrutiny from regulators and eroded user trust.
