Gram Wallet Rolls Out to Telegram's Billion-Plus User Base

Telegram has begun rolling out its native Gram Wallet inside the messaging app to its billion-plus user base. The rollout started with a select group on August 31 and will expand across the platform over the next couple of weeks.

The new wallet architecture is built directly into the Telegram app, moving crypto functionality closer to the core infrastructure. This change follows the June rebranding of Toncoin to Gram.

The TON validators approved a shared wallet contract that allows for future upgrades and bulk transfers without requiring users to migrate balances. The wallet supports signing-key rotation and gasless transaction flows.
