Grayscale and Treasury Secretary Demand Senate Vote on CLARITY Act

Share

Grayscale Investments has urged the Senate to schedule a floor vote on the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act (DAMCA) before the August recess, adding fresh pressure to an already crowded crypto policy agenda.

The firm sent a letter to Senate lawmakers requesting action on H.R. 3633, citing its digital asset products are held by hundreds of thousands of Americans, giving it a direct stake in the outcome.

Grayscale argues that the bill would create clearer market-structure rules for U.S. digital assets and define oversight between the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent also called for immediate Senate action, saying the Senate needs to vote 'NOW' on the DAMCA. He accused Senate Democrats of delaying the bill due to pressure from Senator Elizabeth Warren and her anti-crypto allies.
