Grayscale Boosts BNB in Smart Contract Fund Amid Shifting Institutional Interest
Grayscale Investments has made significant changes to its Smart Contract Fund portfolio. The fund's assets under management total around $45 billion.
In a major update, Binance native token BNB has become the largest holding in the Grayscale Smart Contract Fund with a 30.6% allocation.
This move pushed Ethereum and Solana below BNB in the fund's holdings. Cardano saw one of the biggest cuts as Grayscale reduced its exposure to existing holdings to allocate more funds to BNB.
The decision reflects institutional interest shifting towards Layer-1 blockchains, particularly Binance Chain. The network has expanded rapidly through tokenized assets, decentralized finance (DeFi), and enterprise blockchain activity.
