Grayscale Brings Zcash ETF to NYSE Arca
Grayscale has expanded its presence in the US market by launching a Zcash ETF on NYSE Arca under the ticker ZCSH. The new fund, which began trading on August 25, offers investors a brokerage route to spot ZEC exposure without directly purchasing and securing the native asset of the Zcash network.
The Zcash Trust has been converted into the Zcash ETF, bringing $314 million in assets under management to the exchange-traded product. The fund carries a 2.5% management fee, with the revenue going towards supporting the Zcash ecosystem for up to 12 months.
Grayscale's move is significant as it broadens access to ZEC for investors whose mandates make direct crypto ownership difficult. The listing also comes at a time when privacy-focused assets are gaining traction in the market, with Grayscale Head of Index Steve Vanourny stating that demand for financial privacy could increase due to artificial intelligence.
