Grayscale Brings Zcash to Mainstream Investors with First-Ever ETF
Grayscale has launched the world's first Zcash ETF under the ticker NYSE:ZCSH, as ZEC hits an eight-year high of $867. The fund offers spot exposure to ZEC, allowing investors to access the asset through their brokerage accounts without the operational complexity of buying and storing it directly.
Lauded by analysts, including Multicoin Capital's Tushar Jain, who called Zcash 'what Bitcoin was meant to be', the privacy angle has gained fresh relevance as AI surveillance capabilities expand. With ZEC's 21 million coin supply cap and Proof-of-Work consensus paired with optional transaction privacy, the fund provides a unique differentiator in the market.
The launch of the ETF comes after Zcash completed its Ironwood upgrade in July 2026, making shielded transactions more practical and efficient while adding resilience against quantum computing risks. Analysts warn that the RSI at 78.54 is deep in overbought territory, potentially leading to a double-digit correction.
