Grayscale Cuts XRP Holdings by 27.1% in Crypto 5 ETF
Grayscale's Crypto 5 ETF has made some significant changes to its holdings in XRP, the digital asset tied to Ripple. In a recent filing with the SEC, it was revealed that Grayscale reduced its XRP holdings by 27.1% from 16.87 million to 12.3 million tokens during fiscal year 2026.
The fair value of XRP in the fund took a sharp hit, falling by 67% from $39.14 million to $12.83 million due to factors such as fund redemptions, management fees, and an unrealized depreciation of $28 million. Despite this decline, XRP remains the fourth-largest asset in the ETF, making up 4.15% of net assets.
This adjustment is seen as a portfolio rebalancing effort rather than a strategic exit from XRP by Grayscale. The company continues to believe in the potential growth of XRP adoption and its inclusion in the Crypto 5 ETF.
