Grayscale Nears Launch of First US-Zcash Exchange-Traded Fund
Grayscale is moving closer to launching its first Zcash ETF in the US. The company filed a fifth amendment with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Friday, bringing it one step closer to converting its existing Zcash Trust into an exchange-traded fund.
The proposed ETF would be listed on NYSE Arca under the ticker symbol ZCH and have an annual sponsor fee of 2.5%. The Bank of New York Mellon would serve as the transfer agent, while Coinbase Custody Trust Company, LLC would act as the custodian.
Grayscale's existing Zcash Trust has been running since 2017 and currently has over $260 million in assets under management. If approved, the Zcash ETF would be the first of its kind in the US to directly track the privacy-related asset.
