Grayscale Presses Senate to Pass CLARITY Act Before Summer Recess

Share

Grayscale, a prominent digital asset management firm with $35 billion in assets under management (AUM), has urged Senate leaders to pass the CLARITY Act before the August recess. The company sent an urgent letter to Senators John Thune and Chuck Schumer, emphasizing that months of bipartisan work have addressed major issues around regulatory jurisdiction, investor protection, and safeguards for developers.

The push comes as the Senate is expected to leave Washington for its August break on August 8. Grayscale's Head of Research Zach Pandl noted that the lack of clear rules is limiting crypto investment from large institutions, including pension funds and endowments.

Grayscale's request gains support from the Major Cities Chiefs Association (MCCA), one of the country's leading law enforcement organizations. The group endorsed the latest version of the CLARITY Act after revisions addressed several enforcement concerns.
