Grayscale Scales Back XRP Position Amid Portfolio Rebalancing

Grayscale's position in XRP has been reduced by 27.1% over the last fiscal year, according to an annual report filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The Grayscale CoinDesk Crypto 5 ETF (GDLC) held 12.30 million XRP as of June 30, 2026, down from the 16.87 million recorded a year earlier.

The fair value of that position fell even more sharply, from approximately $39.14 million to $12.83 million, a reduction of 67.2%. This decline does not reflect a deliberate selling decision by Grayscale, but rather the result of redemptions, portfolio rebalancing, and unrealized depreciation.

The filing breakdown details that the fund received approximately 3.00 million XRP in contributions during fiscal year 2026, but recorded outflows of approximately 7.44 million tokens from share redemptions. The XRP position remained the fourth most important asset in the portfolio at the close of the period, representing 4.15% of the fund's total net assets.
