Grayscale Seeks NYSE Listing for Proposed Zcash ETF

Grayscale has filed an application to convert its Zcash Trust into a Zcash ETF (ticker ZCH) for listing on NYSE Arca. The transfer agent will be BNY Mellon, and Coinbase will serve as the custodian for the shares.

The proposed Zcash ETF would use ZECUSD-based pricing, which is based on the price of one US dollar in terms of the cryptocurrency zec.

Cypherpunk Technologies has added significant Zcash mining capacity in the US and holds a substantial stake in the cryptocurrency's price, measured against the US dollar (ZECUSD). Miners have noted that their earnings depend on factors such as the ZECUSD price, network hashrate, difficulty, and costs.
