Grayscale Snaps Up 3 Altcoin ETF Registrations in Lightning-Fast Withdrawal

Grayscale quietly withdrew three major altcoin ETF registrations in a swift and simultaneous move on August 7. The withdrawals were made within just 190 seconds, with the Grayscale Cardano Trust ETF being the first to be withdrawn at 4:33:37 p.m. ET, followed by the Grayscale Hedera Trust ETF at 4:34:55 p.m., and finally the Grayscale Polkadot Trust ETF at 4:36:47 p.m.

The withdrawal requests cited Rule 477 of the SEC's EDGAR filing records, stating that Grayscale did not intend to proceed with the proposed distribution of shares. The registrations were also noted as having been withdrawn before they became effective, and no securities had been or would be issued or sold under them.

This move does not necessarily indicate a larger trend for Grayscale, as other altcoin registrations remain at earlier stages and have yet to become effective. However, it is worth noting that the withdrawals were made simultaneously and in quick succession, suggesting a deliberate decision by the company.
