Grayscale Submits Revised Zcash ETF Filing with Cash-Creation Model
Grayscale Investments has amended its S-3 registration statement for a spot Zcash (ZEC) exchange-traded fund (ETF), introducing a cash-create model to align with recently approved Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs.
The revised filing, submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), updates the initial registration statement filed earlier. By adopting this new structure, authorized participants can deposit cash to create new shares of the ETF, which would then use that cash to purchase ZEC.
This approach mirrors the operational models of spot Bitcoin ETFs after SEC feedback, emphasizing investor protection and market surveillance. The filing does not specify a listing date or exchange but reflects Grayscale's ongoing efforts to expand its product suite in the regulated crypto space.
