Grayscale's First Spot Zcash ETF Sees Healthy Debut on US Markets
Grayscale's first spot Zcash exchange-traded fund (ETF), trading under the ticker ZCSH, debuted on US markets with a notable $14.8 million in trading volume.
The ETF closed its first session down 1.54% at $63.10 after an initial surge of more than 3.5%, indicating intraday volatility typical for new ETFs tied to cryptocurrencies.
This represents a significant milestone for Zcash, a privacy-focused cryptocurrency often on the periphery of mainstream investment products. The spot ETF offers investors a regulated vehicle to gain exposure to ZEC without directly holding the asset, with Grayscale having previously operated a Zcash trust.
