Grayscale's proposed Zcash ETF has taken a significant step forward after filing its fifth amended registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission on August 21. The updated document includes details about the sponsor fee, custody arrangements, and trading information.

The proposed fund would be listed under the ticker ZCSH on NYSE Arca, with Grayscale setting an annual sponsor fee of 2.5% based on the trust's net asset value. This fee would accrue daily and be used for marketing initiatives supporting the Zcash network within the first 12 months.

ZEC has reacted positively to the news, pushing past long-term resistance to reach levels not seen since early 2018. The token briefly traded above $830 on Saturday, extending its rally from earlier in the week when it gained over 60% in seven days.
