Grayscale's Zcash fund has begun trading on NYSE Arca under the ticker ZCSH, marking the first exchange-traded product to offer spot exposure to Zcash (ZEC). The fund carries a 2.5% sponsor fee per year and is Grayscale's latest move into the crypto market.

The fund was previously known as the Grayscale Zcash Trust and launched in October 2017 as a private placement, with shares quoted on OTCQX since October 2021. The registration statement went effective on August 24, allowing the fund to list on NYSE Arca under its new name.

The announcement comes at an interesting time for Zcash, which recently surged to an 8-year high but has lost $100 in value since then. Grayscale's Head of Index, Steve Vanourny, said that demand for financial privacy will only grow as AI reshapes how financial activity is monitored.
