GTA 6 Gameplay Leaks Spark Concerns Ahead of Official Release
Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) has suffered multiple leaks ahead of its official release on November 19. The leaks, which include eight lengthy clips of gameplay, were shared online by an individual or group calling themselves 'CyberLeek.'
CyberLeek claims to be fighting for gamers and criticized Rockstar for releasing GTA 6 without a physical disc in their manifesto. However, the leaked clips are plastered with watermarks advertising a memecoin, which is widely believed to be a crypto scam.
The authenticity of the leaked gameplay is not clear, but it appears to show Jason Duval, one of two playable characters, engaging in various activities such as basketball, car chases, and armed robbery. The leaks also include cutscenes, suggesting that the leaker may have access to a complete version of the game.
Rockstar and parent company Take-Two are working to take down the leaked videos and identify the person or group responsible for the leak. They have issued DMCA subpoenas in a federal court, asking for information from Microsoft and Discord to aid in their investigation.
