GTA 6 Leak Wipes Out $2 Billion of Take-Two's Market Value
A massive leak of Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 6 map details has sent shockwaves through the stock market, causing Take-Two Interactive Software's market capitalization to plummet by over $2 billion.
The leak, attributed to the hacker group Cyberleek, exposed the state of Leonida and its surrounding areas. The leak occurred on August 18, when shares traded at $248.13. Within two days, the stock price dropped to a low of $231.58, resulting in a significant loss in market value.
Cyberleek has been demanding cryptocurrency from users in exchange for releasing more data. However, gaming activist group 'Stop Killing Games' strongly condemned the hack and urged gamers not to send any cryptocurrency to the hackers.
