GTA 6 Leaker CyberLeek Threatens Playable Build Release Unless Rockstar Backs Down
A mysterious figure known as CyberLeek has been flooding the internet with alleged Grand Theft Auto VI footage, including driving and gunfights, a full map, and minigames. The leaker claims to be a consumer-rights vigilante and threatens to release a playable build of the game unless Rockstar Games backs off from its copyright action.
CyberLeek's manifesto, called the 'CYBERLEEK Edict', outlines three demands: no more digital preorders, paid unlocks for single-player content should be removed, and single-player campaigns should remain playable even after a publisher shuts down its servers. However, the leaker's claims are tainted by their promotion of a Solana crypto token, $CYBERLEAK, which has seen a market cap of over $3 million.
Rockstar Games has taken legal action against CyberLeek, and its parent company Take-Two has pursued court subpoenas to identify the leaker. Despite the controversy, Rockstar remains tight-lipped about whether the leaks will affect its plans for the game's release on August 27.
