GTA 6 Leaks Wipe $3 Billion Off Take-Two's Market Value Amid Cyberleek Crypto Scheme

Share

Take-Two Interactive's market value plummeted nearly $3 billion after Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) gameplay leaks surfaced online. The leaked footage, attributed to a group called Cyberleek, suggests access to a playable build of the game.

Digital forensics analysis by a GTAForums user named Vice Cit linked the funding and operations behind the leaks to a memecoin generating thousands in daily fees via KuCoin. A report by IGN revealed that the wallets connected to the Cyberleek website, uploads, and memecoin lead back to a KuCoin exchange account requiring identity verification.

A potential subpoena of those records could help authorities identify the operator behind the leaks. The gradual release of clips and paid token-based polls appear designed to sustain interest and trading volume rather than deliver a single large dump of material.
