GTA VI Leaker Cashes Out $250K, Then Abandons Memecoin
Cyberleek, the individual behind the GTA VI leaks, withdrew approximately $250,000 from their cryptocurrency project just before the game's official presentation. The memecoin, created on Solana around August 15, was directly linked to the leaked videos by Cyberleek, who claimed that a higher market capitalization would lead to further GTA VI leaks.
The token reached a price of $0.0344 on August 23 but fell to $0.0027 after the campaign ended. Cyberleek's profit did not come from selling a large batch of tokens; instead, they were a liquidity provider, receiving fees from every trade.
Cyberleek burned 270 million reserve tokens worth approximately $1.79 million at the time to increase traders' confidence in the project. After withdrawing the funds, Cyberleek divided them among four new wallets, with some ending up on the KuCoin exchange and others transferred through CCE.Cash.
Take-Two is attempting to determine Cyberleek's identity by requesting data from Microsoft, Discord, and X platforms. The company has already taken legal action to obtain this information.
