Kylie Jenner's social media account on X was reportedly hacked by an unknown attacker. The hacker used the account to promote a meme coin called kylie, which reached a market capitalization of nearly $1.19 million before crashing 68%. This is not the first time a high-profile account has been compromised for financial gain.

The posts on Kylie's X account were flagged by community members as suspicious due to their abrupt tone. The two posts drew around 50,000 and 33,000 views before being deleted. The token was trading on PumpSwap, with $6.1 million in 24-hour volume and a market cap of near $378,500.

The deleted posts led to the creation of several rival Kylie-themed tokens on Solana, each only a few hours old. One such token reached a market capitalization of $1.04 million on $6.72 million in trading volume. The playbook mirrors recent takeovers, with attackers using compromised accounts to push meme coins.
